What Slicer stores and for how long — sources for 7 days, reels until deleted, versions, encryption, who sees your media and what goes to AI services.

In short: your files and texts are stored encrypted, only you can see them, sources are deleted after a week, and finished reels — when you delete the project. The detailed technical specification is on the Security page.

When the sources are deleted
- The Media section shows The source files were deleted after the retention period.
- The editor, rebuilds, style changes and AI effects become unavailable: they need the sources.
- The finished reel stays — you can watch, download and publish it.
To extend the period, just work on the reel — for example, export it: the seven days start again from the end of the last work.
Encryption
- Files — sources, your own media, finished reels and covers — are stored encrypted, each with its own key. They are decrypted only while being processed on the server and when sent to you.
- Data — email, name, project titles, reel text, notes for the director, prompts, montage documents, access keys to social accounts — is stored encrypted too.
- Your password is never stored in plain form — only a strong hash, also encrypted.
- Encryption keys are kept separately from the data: a copy of the database or storage is useless without them.
Who sees your media
- Only you. Every request to projects and files is checked against the owner.
- The Slicer team does not see your files in plain form. In exceptional cases (for example, a lawful request), an authorized administrator can obtain an encrypted copy of a file and decrypt it with a separate key — each such access is recorded with its reason in a log that cannot be altered unnoticed.
- There are no links to your files without signing in. The exception is a temporary link Instagram uses to fetch the reel when publishing: it works only while the publication is in progress, and for no more than 2 hours.
What AI services receive
For the montage Slicer sends AI services the minimum needed: sound — for speech recognition, downscaled frames — for analysis, text — for the director and the assistant, a video range — for an AI effect, a photo and text — for an AI avatar. Plans without training models on your data are used. Slicer fetches the results into its own storage right away.
Usage statistics
To understand what to improve, Slicer counts which screens and features people use, on which device and for how long: platform, OS and app version, device model, language, screens and time on them, tools tapped, error codes. The statistics contain no caption or message text, file names, videos or your IP address; they aren't sent to third-party analytics services — Slicer keeps them itself. Events are kept for 13 months.

Ratings and problem reports
Your rating, review and problem reports are stored encrypted and only the Slicer team reads them. If you attached project data, the team sees the project status and the latest run, its stages and error codes — no video or reel text. More — Ratings and problem reports.
Payments
You enter card details on the YooKassa page — Slicer does not receive or store them. Tokens are credited only after the payment system confirms the payment.
Deleting your account
When you delete your account, projects, files, email and sign-in methods are deleted right away. Anonymized financial records and a mark that the free reel on this email has been used remain. More — Deleting your account.
