Quickstart — your first reel in 5 minutes

The short path to your first reel in Slicer: sign up, create a project, upload media, watch the finished reel and export. Five steps on one page.

This path is for those who want to see the result right away. You can leave every setting at its default: the AI picks the cuts, framing and graphics itself. Each step is covered in detail in the Tutorial: your first video.

What you need: 1–10 videos with speech or B-roll (you can add photos, music or a voice-over). Shoot vertically or horizontally — the AI frames it in 9:16. Your first reel is free.

  1. Create an account

Open Slicer in the browser or the app and sign up: email and password (you will get a code by email), or Continue with VK ID, Continue with Google, Continue with Apple. On the packs screen, tap Try for free, then Create first project.

    Details — Step 1. Sign-up and intro.

  2. Pick a style and captions

In the New project wizard, on the Style step, pick a template, a font and an accent — the example on top updates instantly. If you opened the wizard with the New project button on the Projects screen, pick With the AI director first. Tap Next. On the Captions step you can change nothing — tap Next again.

Details — Step 2. Style and Step 3. Captions and options.

  3. Upload media and start the montage

On the Media step, tap Upload your media and choose files (on a computer you can drag them in). When every file shows its type and duration, tap Create reel.

Details — Step 4. Media and Step 6. Montage.

  4. Watch the finished reel

The montage usually takes a few minutes — you can close the tab, the reel is assembled on the server. The director checks the finished reel itself, and the project opens on the Editor section — there is nothing to pick.

Details — Step 7. The finished reel.

  5. Export the reel

In the Editor section, tap Export, keep the Social preset and tap Export. Download the finished reel from the “⋯” menu → Download, or it goes to your social accounts if you connected them.

Details — Step 9. Export and publishing.
